“From Belgium, we were looking for a nice place to stay for our vacation in Polk County. We found the website of your cottage and knew immediately that it was the place! We’ve had a wonderful stay here. What a wonderful location.”
“What a wonderful spot you have here. Our family came (to the cottage) for dinner & it was great! Grandkids played waffle ball & adults had wine and cheese on the deck!
Thanks so much for your attention to detail. We like the area so much we are going to move here!”
“The weekend at Buttercup Cottage has been delightful. Your thoughtful attention to every detail has made the visit so comfortable and homey. I especially appreciate the well-stocked kitchen. Love the fresh spring flowers from the yard, a loving touch! These NC mountains are a special place of beauty, tradition and peace.”
“Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at Buttercup Cottage. My husband and I brought my mom for the Garden Jubilee in Hendersonville. Upon arrival we were greeted with fresh flowers, jam and breakfast fixings. You are so thoughtful of the needs of your guests….We really enjoyed spending time on the deck for morning coffee. We hope to return next year.”
“Another year, another wonderful mini vacation in Saluda’s Buttercup Cottage. Our family reunion would not be the same without your wonderful hospitality.”
“The Cottage, Saluda, and the mountains was just what I needed! I will spread the word in South Florida of this special place. You have thought of everything. Loved the breakfast surprises. Mostly I just loved visiting your place—hope to see you again.”
“We really enjoyed the visit. Everything was wonderful!”
“Buttercup Cottage is lovely! We truly enjoyed your cozy home and the beautiful garden. Thank you for everything!”
“What a treat to spend the weekend in Saluda! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Thank you for sharing Buttercup Cottage with us. You were very thoughtful to bring our children movies to enjoy on a rainy day. Thank you again! P.S. Thanks for the pumpkin!”
“Thanks so much-we enjoyed our stay! Thank you also for the tomatoes and pumpkins-the kids in my class (ages 2-3) will be very interested in looking at them!
Thanks again.”
“Thanks so much for the preserves. The cabin was the perfect weekend escape. Throw in some James Taylor and the nice weather, and we had a memorable weekend. We hope to return to Saluda sometime soon.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very cozy cottage. We wanted for nothing. Thank you for the grape jelly. Very tasty.”
Take exit 59, the Saluda exit, off I-26. From the north, turn right; from the south turn left on Ozone Drive. Just past the Texaco station on the right you will turn right on Howard Gap Road. After approximately .5 mile bear left at the fork in the road. Just after 1 mile you will pass a large sign "Autumn Care" on the right. About 200 feet beyond the sign is Ransom Road on the right. It is marked with a stone pillar marker and is easy to miss (it's narrow and looks almost like a driveway). If you come to Macedonia Road you have gone too far, turn around and go back 100 feet and turn left. Buttercup Cottage is the third house on the left. You can't miss it.
